Andy Woolgar of Elephants Corner Wines is back, and we couldn't be more thrilled! Andy will taste with us in New Bern on Friday, March 24 from 5-7pm. He will join us in Oriental on Saturday March 25 at 2pm and again at 3pm. Andy has been part of the Nautical Wheelers family for several years and we proudly boast the largest South African wine selection in Pamlico County, maybe Eastern Carolina thanks to Andy. Our friend Andy Woolgar, of Elephants Corner Wines, importer of South African wines will be tasting with us in March and again in May. Andy continues to discover fabulous wines from South Africa and is excited to share them. In April we welcome back the lovely Stephanie Hall from Tryon Distributing. Stephanie will introduce us to a variety of wines that Tryon offers; maybe you will find a new favorite!

Next weekend we are excited to welcome Jane Ellis Queen of Wines senior Wine Ambassador. Just in time for Valentine's Day, Jane will be tasting a collection of French wines with us (it doesn't get more romantic than that). A little bit about Jane... Following an early retirement as a Postmaster for the US Postal Service, Jane pursued her passion for wine into her present career. A Beaufort resident, she has worked with Beaufort Wine and Food Festival and has introduced many folks to new wines. Jane is intrigued about the story and history behind each wine and loves nothing more than sharing that knowledge with clients and friends. Thank you to everyone who came out for our first tasting of 2023! Camilla Wheeler hosted a "Celebration Cellar Break", reintroducing a variety of wines from the Nautical Wheelers wine cellar. We had a terrific turn out in New Bern on Friday night and in Oriental on Saturday. Crowd favorites were Dancing Crow Chardonnay and Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon. We are kicking off 2023 with a special wine tasting event that you don't want to miss. Camilla is heading into our "wine cellar" and revisiting our vast collection of wines. She will revive, rejuvenate and reintroduce some oldies but goodies in a variety of price ranges. A true wine connoisseur, Camilla will share her passion and knowledge about wine, and anyone that knows Camilla can attest to her expertise when it comes to which foods pair best with particular wines.
