March Wine Tasting Recap!
Thank you to everyone who ventured into Spring with us this weekend at our monthly wine tasting event! This month, we welcomed Heather Parnham of Johnson Brothers / Mutual Distributing. Friday night, our New Bern store had a lovely turn out and on Saturday in Oriental, on a beautiful albeit breezy day, every seat in the house was taken! Heather a native Carolinian who was a "California girl" for almost a decade, started the tastings with a terrific champagne out of Sonoma County, California; Banshee, "Ten of Cups" Brut. A real crowd pleaser, the bubbles had everyone smiling! We "traveled" with Heather tasting wines from California, France, Italy and Spain with the overall favorite being the Renato Ratti Barbera, a fresh, fruity wine with cherries, lemon zest and hints of chocolate. We still have some of the wines we tasted here at the store and can order them for you as well!
